“Tu Two” Embroidered Photographs by Stacy Page and Jose Romussi

26 Aug

Just to keep you on your toes, I’ve decided to post a pas de deux today.  Both Jose Romussi and Stacy Page embellish classic photographs with carefully crafted needlework.  The dancers may be credited to the former, the headshots the latter.  I’m head over heels for both.

These remind me a bit of the Terry Gilliam’s cartoon work with the Monty Python.

Love the “Todd” pun (on her site).

It’s amazing how much the stitch work adds to the photographs — the color and texture and humor are very compelling and beautiful.
