My sister, Margaret, got the crifty-crafty gene. She can cook, sew, paint, weave, throw pottery, and basically do anything that requires handiwork and PATIENCE. If I asked her to repoint my fireplace, I swear she’d give it a go. I got the “admirer” gene.
I met another polytalent at the L.A. Art Show, last January. An artist, actor, former professional quarterback and thoroughly delightful person, Ryan McCann, can wield one hot blowtorch. His fantastic “paintings” are images burnt into plywood with a twist. He certainly lit me up.
