I can see why folks make the comment about implications for the space/time continuum and a “portal to another world”. His work seems to upset the traditional relationship and/or understanding between the speed of light across the universe and the speed of time on earth. How can the light be moving while the time is seemingly standing still? If one looks at this art as a metaphor, I wonder which things (e.g. relationships) in our lives are the light (thus moving forward) and which are the backgrounds (thus standing still).
