“Moonrise Kingdom” Paintings by Bo Bartlett

Last night I went to see “Moonrise Kingdom“, the new Wes Anderson film.  Three minutes into it, all I could think of was Bo Bartlett’s paintings.  If you enjoy my blog even a smidge, you will LOVE this movie.  A true visual feast.  I’m stuffed.

  1. Why am I surprised that an art blog is primarily pictures? I love what you are doing and look forward to looking…just looking. I think I have probably spent more time reading about art and the making of art than simply looking.

  2. LOVE these paintings. Thanks for posting this…and the movie looks great, too.

  4. You are so right – that movie made me want to paint it – it also reminded me of your post on awkward youth – and the new book by John Irving – In One Person – have you read it ?
