I’m often asked how I “find” the artist I feature. I’ll admit I’m insatiably curious and a decent web crawler; but, some of the best things just land in my inbox. Trust me, I have been sent a plethora of wonderful work by some amazing artists, many whom I plan to post. Today, I bring you one such submission. Joel Brochu is a student artist whose work exhibits both genius and disturbing patience. Constructed entirely of “sprinkles” or “non pareils”, (you know, the things you put on cupcakes) his work is one big exercise in tweezer dexterity.
He can decorate my cupcake anytime. Sweet.
Accepting commissions at brochu@sasktel.net.
