2013-02-21-jalbert1We moved about a year ago.  There is truly nothing more forlorn than a pile of outdated technology.  I was tempted to save my palm pilot for nostalgic reasons but was quickly talked out of it by my “stuff psychologist”,  Jane Haggard.  She dispassionately disposed of film cameras, cds, brick-sized cell phones, video cameras, hard drives, and laughable boomboxes.  It was truly an electronic cleanse.  Little did I know there was an artist out there making remarkable scrimshaw works of art from design deserving Apple laptops.  Michael Dinges carves gorgeous designs which make you want to return to a dial-up modem.  He is represented by the Packer Schopf Gallery in Chicago.
