“For the Millionth Time” Drawings by Mary Temple
My teenage son is having trouble getting up and ready for school in the morning. I informed him, last week, that I was terminating my responsibility as his time manager and that the car would be leaving the driveway at 7:00 a.m., sharp, with or without him. I used my “I’m only saying this once, and I jolly well mean it” voice. It appears to have sunk in as I’ve noticed he has begun sleeping in his clothes. At some point, we’ll get this right.
Artist Mary Temple gives new meaning to monotonous activity in her “1,000,000 Ellipsoids Series”. Each ink on mylar piece is numbered and chronicles her progress. I get writers cramp just looking at them.
