In the top ten list of mindless activities, number one might be watching “Haul” videos.  If you are not familiar with the genre, it is a collective celebration of shopping that is branded as a YouTube channel.  The “stars” (who are generally girls between the ages of 11 and 25) binge shop, then rush home and film themselves gabbing about their purchases.  Trending right now is Lady Gaga Lipstick from MAC (proceeds go to support AIDS research).
