I seem to be gifted at the art of benign neglect.  Evidence of this is my success with growing phalaenopsis orchids.  If there were ever a plant that benefited from the shoulder shrug, this is it.  The true secret ingredient is a window in my house that affords the plants indirect southeastern light.  Traditionally prescribed inputs (fertilizer, water, sweet talking) are secondary.

There is no ignoring the work of artist Karen Hollingsworth.  Her windows provide their own kind of nurturing light.

Note: Karen is also the wife of Neil Hollingsworth, who you may remember from an earlier Artstormer post.
