“Fried” Works by Beverly Fishman

I believe we would be a healthier and certainly happier society if, instead of drugs, doctors would prescribe blow outs, pedicures and massages.   After all, what ails most of us is a lack of attention.

Artist Beverly Fishman has made a study of our pill popping culture.  Her paintings depict brain patterns on and off of a variety of drugs.  Her resin wall sculptures are themselves addictive.   I’m trippin’ just looking at them.

  1. Feeling jaded lately– nothing simple can surprise me…. but these are simple and somehow haunting and tap my fear of the drugs and drug industry I cannot keep up with… wonderful meld of familiar medical-looking icons with textile patterns and recent family medical stuff — I enjoyed this collection very much!
