“Child’s Play” Paintings by Peter Opheim
Yesterday I read about a New York museum installing a “clay bar” where you can belly up to some manipulative fun. I think it is meant for children, but I think it is an appealing idea for all ages. Anything to promote and reclaim our natural divergent thinking skills. A fascinating video featuring Sir Ken Robinson does a great job of explaining how, by the time we are middle schoolers, society and formal education have distracted us from nurturing our natural ability to imagine possibilities. Perhaps a little clay play would be therapuetic. Peter Opheim apparently thinks so…
LOVED the video and can’t wait to visit the clay bar!!!
Love these!
