“Range Rover” Paintings by Matt Kleberg

These days I’m all about Texas.  Longhorns, yellow roses, ranchers, and 72 oz. steaks from the Big Texan in Amarillo.  No one depicts the spirit of the Lonestar state like artist Matt Kleberg.  His paintings are as much cattle as hat.  If you happen to be in San Antonio this month you simply must mosey by The Hunt Gallery and see his exhibit.  I’m completely corralled.

  1. Have you seen the Vanity Fair article about Marfa, Texas? Artist Donald Judd bought tons of buildings there and transformed them into art themselves, or an area to showcase his, and other artists, work.

  2. Just back from a fantastic concert— Renee Fleming and conductor Sebastian Lang- Lessing music director of the San Antonio Symphony. If you have a chance to see/hear him conduct, he is great. Leaving Mon. For France. Back Oct10th. Will see you next at the Parthenon. How is Meade doing in Texas? I so enjoyed our recent visit.
