“Trashy” Paper Bag Art by Yuken Teruya
Tonight was the big premier of the television series,”Nashville”. Notwithstanding the fingernails-across-a-chalkboard feeling I got every time I heard a fake southern accent (90% of the show), I was highly entertained. After all, who can think of a better formula than feuding country divas, political intrigue, and some downright great music? The only thing missin’ were the biscuits and the red-eye gravy. I’m sure upcoming episodes will include the Loveless Cafe, Pancake Pantry, as well as other local iconic venues.
Artist Yuken Teruya has something more like take-out in mind with these paper bag fantasy sculptures. Delicately cut trees give new meaning to the “Happy meal” if one takes the time to peer inside. Vegan and completely satisfying.
Wonderful way to recycle these fastfood bags!
Ooooooo! I love these Betsy! Thanks so much for posting. I am so glad Yuken found a higher purpose for McD’s and KK bags!

Wonderful.glad you like the Nashville show. Missed the first episode as I just returned home from France. Turkish towels were on back order and arrived yesterday. They are a reminder of a delightful day. How is Meade?
