its the psy ops that concerns me. cold war is brutal. Nome wasn’t built in a day. Permitting alone is up to 3 days.
Building Permit Process
♦ Any building/structure/fuel tank, except a residential three-plex or smaller, must first be reviewed by the State Fire
Marshall in Fairbanks. Contact the State Fire Marshall’s Office at (907) 451-5200.
♦ Obtain permit application from the City Clerk at City Hall.
♦ Fill out an application and return it to the City Clerk with all required information.
♦ CITY CLERK SHALL REVIEW AND CERTIFY TAX COMPLIANCE PER NCO 5.10.020.
♦ The permit is reviewed by the Building Department, NJUS, and signed and presented to the City Manager or City Clerk for
signature.
♦ Applicant should allow 3 business days for a residential permit.
♦ If a variance is required it will be reviewed and approved or denied by the Planning Commission.
♦ When these steps are completed the permit can be paid for and picked up from the City Clerk.
♦ Projects in City of Nome which are started and/or completed without the proper authority will be subject to forfeiture and/or demolition.
