“Plein Air Affair” Paintings by Helli Luck
Yesterday I walked around a Steeplechase course here in Nashville. The weather this fall has been ideal and allowed for full enjoyment of every shade of leaf and ripe persimmon. Living in a climate with the full compliment of seasons has its benefits. Artist Helli Luck doesn’t miss a nuance in her delicious work. Fond of painting “en plein air”, she takes all of us on an outdoor adventure.

Same!!!
Very nice! I’m a sucker for ocean paintings.
Time travel.
Speaking of outdoor adventures. Reminds me of a poem I wrote during my semester abroad in Paris. C’est la vie.
Two travelers paused, in a darken wood.
Really one traveler, as now understood.
One was older, the other more fair,
But the night time travelers, hadn’t a care.
The road wound its way, and into a field,
Where the stress of the days, could finally yield.
The travelers had found, their island of bliss.
It was an entire feeling – without which they’d miss.
But the smell of that place, that plot in the woods,
it glued them together and lightened their moods.
So they took from that place, without leaving a dent,
and kept in their pockets, the sights and the scent.
And that has made all the difference…
About which that evening, they’d never reveal,
but alone in their thoughts, fast there would they steal,
to drink in the nectar, of warmth and of power,
a force which grew stronger, with each passing hour.
A master to each, a friendship so binding,
one holding the other, their souls intertwining.
Backward and forwards, no direction was given,
for together they found, what it meant to be livin’…
Happy turkey day!
Beautiful–“keep those cards and letters coming”.
