“Contagious” Glass Blown Sculptures of Infectious Disease by Luke Jerram
UK-based artist Luke Jerram has produced a series of sculptures called “Glass Microbiology” based on infectious diseases. Yes, you heard that right. The sculptures are glass-blown renderings of infectious diseases such as Malaria, E.Coli, or HIV.

Where can I buy one for a friend before this friday
Truly Beautiful. I’ve seen other artists work with virus forms, but this is the first time that I find the material (glass) works beautifully with the subject.
Brilliant! They are so creepy. When I think of these bugs, I think of dirty, nasty things, and here they are rendered with such clarity. It’s a nice irony.
I prefer them as works of art!
