“Control Issues” Photographs by Emily Blincoe

So here is the deal: Christmas is around the corner and it’s basically a game of chicken.  Do I control it or does it control me?  Typically I withdraw into a manic set of activities like attempting to shop for all of my gifts in August  just to “get ahead of it”.  I have learned over the years to relax a bit and put the tinsel and rush into perspective.   Now, I most look forward to things like spending time with my daughter over her college break or watching my 2 1/2 year-old niece go from lap to lap at our family dinner.

Photographer Emily Blincoe’s candy and collection prints offer peace in a frantic world.  Neatly displayed, and deliciously simple she makes it all look so easy.  Sweet.

  1. I love the image of the woman surrounded by rocks. What a good concept. My advice for Christmas? Don’t resist. Let it roll over you like water, and enjoy it.
