“Kitchen Notes” Paintings by Katherine Bernhardt
My husband and I are officially in the meal kit marketplace. Since January, we’ve been ordering vegetarian menus from Sunbasket and our home-dining experience has made a step-function improvement. The variety of options – paleo, gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and you-name-it-friendly, is impressive. Moreover, our food waste index has been receiving a much better grade.
I’ve been inspired enough by this fresh approach that I’ve mustered the energy to attack the kitchen junk drawer. You know, the place where that latte frother lives alongside the thingamajig from your old Sony Walkman and the half-eaten pack of Pop Rocks? The archeological dig has been satisfying but no trip to Egypt.
More palatable are these paintings by Katherine Bernhardt. Large in scale, the artist delivers on delicious.

Great color! Lively!
Thank you!
Positively uplifting…the art, and the blog! It’s so good to learn that I am not alone in my familiarity with ‘that’ drawer. Enjoyed it all!
Great work! Like a modern twist on Ida Kohlmeyer.
Hope you and yours are well.
