“Tete-a-Tete” Paintings by Suhas Bhujbal
Our daughter Meade was the tender age of 5 when my husband’s grandmother passed away. We patiently explained to her that “Gran Gran’s” body would be in the casket at the church. After the service, we went on, her body would be driven to the cemetery. At the graveside, her body would be lowered into the ground.
As we drove home in a silence after the long afternoon, her little voice chirped from the backseat of the Volvo. “Mommy? Daddy? What did they do with her head?”
Out of the mouths of babes. You will be relieved to know that we were more explicit when we explained to her the facts of life.
Artist Suhas Bhujbal keeps her focus above the shoulders as well.

very intriguing, like closeups of Romare Bearden.
