“Split” Pencil Works by David Poppie
I forced myself to go to the doctor’s office today for an appointment to talk about having an appointment. I know that sounds absurd, but I wanted to see if I really needed one. The doctor assured me that I did and scheduled me for November. (What the heck does that mean?) I’ve committed to it in an Outlook sort of way (which means I’ll get a reminder 2 weeks before to find an excuse to cancel it). As I was walking out, an administrator wheeled a mountain of colorful files onto the elevator with me. I looked at her with shocked amazement and said “are you still doing this stuff on paper?”. She replied, “We won’t be in 3 months, but don’t worry, I’ll still have my job, the functions will just change” . I hadn’t really asked that, but at least I know why in our digital society it has taken so long…
David Poppie has a healthy appreciation for putting pencil to paper.

I love the concept and admire the artist’s patience to create these beautiful pieces of art. Simplicity turns into beauty when your inspiration comes to life.
Here’s to your health Artstormer! Keep up the good work and try to keep that appointment.
