All of this coverage of Hurricane Irene has made my head swim.  Sustained wind gusts of 90 miles an hour can do some real damage, but the surge of water both from ocean and sky is the real story.  The storm is “disorganized” according to meteorologists, which makes it all the more dangerous and unpredictable.

Artist Eric Tillinghast pools his talent in these wonderful water sculptures.  Placid and calm.  His web site is worth a look.
