“Rooted” Sculptures by Jorge Mayet
It’s amazing what lies beneath. Trees require the full participation of both soil and sky, yet it is only when they are uprooted that we see how intricate and beautiful the machinery truly is. This certainly applies to individuals. We rarely know or pay attention to more than half the story. I’m making Jorge Mayet’s work my desktop image this week so that I keep this in mind.

Thank you for your very kind words. I’m thrilled that you enjoy the blog so much. I hope that the link to the galleries provide more comprehensive data about the artists and the pieces. I am taking your thoughts under advisement as I’m sure it would improve the blog! I am also always open to hearing about other artists so if you have any to pass along, I WELCOME ideas! B
Miss Willis,
I subscribe to perhaps a dozen art sites, most of them appearing daily in my inbox, and always ArtStormer provides the most interesting, intriguing, and exciting contemporary art. I have o many favorites, it’s ridiculous to try and list them. However, the sculptures of Jorge Moyet today moved me to write to you for the first time. Senor Moyet’s work is profound, funny, beautifully executed, provocative and exciting.
My only complaint is the lack of data with each piece presented: materials used, date, size, title.
Your fan,

Bravo Jorge!
