“Fantasy Forest” Paintings by Carrie Marill
Nashville winters are typically grey, mushy affairs and today is no exception. Even so, birds are the most beautiful against a backdrop of bark and berry, and I could sit for hours watching them outside my kitchen window.
Arizona artist, Carrie Marill creates her own fantasy forest.

Simply magnificent! The colors are bright, while remaining earthy and natural – somehow. With Carrie Marill’s great technique, any subject/environment/palette combination would appear entirely possible. Thanks for sharing her work, great post!

There is such simple beauty in each of these pictures. The colors do not detract from the wildlife but add richness.
May I have “the red-billed-ox-pecker-with-impala!” I think I will use this name with my next car! I just like saying it!
