My sister=in-law comes from a long line of Canadian quilters. The genius involved in cutting and creating your own fabric puzzle is above my pay grade. Co-operative work of this kind is hard to find these days. Maybe that is why we like television shows like Extreme Makeover Home Edition which is essentially a good old fashion barn raising with power tools.
Artist Troy Dugas must have a Mennonite or two in his family tree. His giant collages are made entirely of discarded labels.
