“Plasticity” Sculptures by Aurora Robson
I’ve posted many times about the plastic trash vortex (allegedly the size of the state of Texas) which is located in the Pacific Ocean. Between that and photographer Chris Jordan’s heart breaking photographs on Midway Island of bird carcasses exploded by plastic ingestion I’m close to foreswearing bottled water forever.
Brilliant sculptor Aurora Robson adds her voice to the waste debate. Her sculptures are somber but beautiful commentary. I highly recommend this link to a video about her work. Moving and entirely recyclable. http://vimeo.com/47034199

Love the work of Aurora Robson. Been following her work for years! I was thrilled to be able to include her work in a recent show I curated at TransFORM Gallery all about eco-minded artists!
Haunting. These artists using recycled materials really get into my head.
