Mankind suffers from myopia, xenophobia and ethnocentrism. Very few of us can claim enlightenment. Is there a universal right and wrong? I doubt it. Do other societies mock the ways of the United States. Absolutely. Can art help us to rise above all this? On a good day the answer is a resounding “yes”.
